BP oil spill
would there really have been any difference to people's reactions to BP's efforts to contain the spill, as well as people's reactions to the government, no matter how hard they tried? people like to criticize so much, including the press, i feel like that's all we would have heard no matter what. i'm sure BP is doing a lot more good than they are getting credit for... well, i hope at least.

Yes, people love to sit back and bitch and whine. But at the same time there is no doubt that government is inefficient. Sure, BP is slowly trying to clean things up (and we know what a drag it is for them esp when all Tony Hayward is thinking about is getting his life back) but considering the fact that they knowingly caused the explosion to save a few bucks and subsequently killed their own workers, entire ecosystems, businesses, cultures and livelihood for many, they are not doing shit. It was their negligence that led to this disaster so no, they don't deserve credit for trying to clean up a mess created by irresponsible and unethical practices.

they were aware of the possible consequences of using seawater vs. mud and ignored safety concerns. that is knowingly causing it.
