so much for daily affirmations
this blog has been a pretty big failure. trying to learn something new every day isn't that hard, but getting out of my laziness is. given that this blog was supposed to be for both me and my wife, and that none of us has posted anything for a long time, i might just go back to my old one.

free time
i want to be better at utilizing my free time. the past couple years, all i have been doing is video games, and i think i'm at a point where i just need to be doing something else.
as a new years' resolution, i think i'm going to get back to studying music...

last day of the decade
i started this decade as a 21 year-old and ending it as a 31 year-old.
next decade, there probably won't be as much change... my life has been pretty much settled, and it will be all devoted to raising our child(ren), and buying our first house. who knows what else God has in store for me... but we'll see.
man, this blog entry makes me feel real old.

complaining
i don't know what it is, but when people complain a certain way, it really aggravates me. don't get me wrong, i'm a big complainer myself, but there if someone complains a certain way, it just really sets me off.
the problem is, i'm not quite sure what it exactly is or how to explain it. i thought a lot about it and i think it comes down to a few things:
1. excessiveness - when people go overboard on the complaining, whether it's complaining in an immature way, talking about it non-stop, or just going overboard in general, it tends to irk me.
2. i'm already in a bad mood - maybe i already know that something sucks, and i just don't want to hear it.
3. overly obvious - everyone knows it sucked, no use trying to beat a dead horse.
i guess it's ironic that i'm complaining about people complaining.
