speaker of the house

apparently pelosi was allowed to get military flights home every week as a perk of being speaker. boehmer is going to continue to take commercial flights home. but i guess that begs the question - should the second person in line to be president get the military flights? reading about all the perks that you get as speaker of the house was certainly fascinating to me... i guess if you think about it, this person essentially runs congress, so of course there's a lot of responsibility, and perks that come along with it.

modern family is a hit

great tv series and definitely lives up to the hype. but i think i just realized why i don't like watching re-runs on DVDs. it's because there is so much other stuff out there that i haven't seen yet. if i spend time watching shows/movies i have already seen, i feel like i wasted time.
